How DigiTicket works
Pick the guide that matches you. Each is a short, step-by-step walk-through. No blockchain jargon.
For attendees
You're going to an event and someone is giving you a DigiTicket. Here's what to do.
-
Install a DigiByte wallet on your phone.
Get the DigiByte Mobile Wallet, DigiSmart, or any Digi-ID compatible wallet. It's free. Write down the recovery phrase and keep it safe - that's how you get back in if you lose the phone.
-
Get a claim link from the organizer.
They'll send you a link that looks like
tickets.digistamp.co/claim.html?token=..., usually by email or text. Tap it on your phone. -
Sign in with your wallet.
The claim page will say "Sign in with Digi-ID." Tap Open in wallet app on your phone - your wallet pops up, asks you to approve, and that's it. No password to remember.
-
The ticket is now yours.
The page waits 4 seconds and then automatically transfers the ticket to your wallet. You'll see "Ticket claimed!" with a transaction ID. Done.
-
At the event, show the QR.
Open DigiTicket on your phone, go to My Tickets, tap your ticket, and tap Show QR. The QR refreshes every 30 seconds so nobody can cheat by taking a picture. Hold it up to the staff's scanner.
-
You're in.
Staff scans, sees green, lets you in. When you enter, your wallet quietly marks the ticket as used on the blockchain forever. You can't re-use it. Nobody else can either.
For organizers
You're running an event. Here's how to create tickets and get them to your attendees.
-
Sign in with Digi-ID.
Click Sign in & get started on the home page, scan the QR with your DigiByte wallet, and approve the sign-in. Your wallet address becomes your organizer identity.
-
Create your ticket(s).
On My Tickets, expand Create ticket(s). Fill in the event title, a short description, venue, date, and upload cover art (a 1200×1200 square JPG works best). Pick how many tickets - up to 20 per batch. Each gets its own unique name like "Block Party #001", "#002", etc. Click Issue ticket and wait about 10-30 seconds per ticket while each one is written to the blockchain.
-
Share each ticket with an attendee.
On any custody ticket, tap Assign. You get three ways to pick the recipient:
- Address - paste or type their DigiByte address.
- Scan QR - have them show you their wallet's address QR.
- Share link - the easiest. Click to generate a one-time claim link, then show the QR to them in person, or copy the link and text/email it.
-
Track in real time.
My Tickets shows every ticket you've minted, even after you assign them out. You can see at a glance which are still unassigned, which have been used (redeemed on chain), and which are ready to go. Toast notifications tell you when something changes while you're on the page.
For venue staff
You're at the door. Here's how to check tickets.
-
Open the scanner page on any phone.
Go to
tickets.digistamp.co/scan.htmlin the browser. No login, no app install. Bookmark it or add to your home screen for quick access during the event. -
Tap Start camera.
The browser will ask for camera permission the first time - allow it. If it was blocked before, tap the lock icon in the address bar to unblock. Point the phone's rear camera at the attendee's QR.
-
Read the result card.
VALID - fresh, real, never used. Let them in.
REDEEMED - already used. Do not let in.
INVALID - expired QR, wrong owner, or tampered. Have them refresh their QR or escalate. -
Tap Confirm Entry.
On a VALID result, this single tap marks the ticket as pending and burns the specific QR code so nobody else can reuse it. The attendee walks in. The ticket card on their side flips to a pending-redemption state automatically.
-
Scan the next person.
Tap Scan next to reset the camera. Repeat. At the end of the event, there's nothing to close or sync - everything lives on the blockchain. Multiple staff can scan at the same time on different phones; duplicates are impossible.
